WATER FOR LIFE

UN International Decade for Action - Water For Life - 2005-2015

The United Nations General Assembly and Human Rights Council have resolved that ‘Water Is A Human Right’ and that clean drinking water and sanitation are essential to the realization of all human rights.

UN Resolution 64/292 calls upon both States and international organizations to provide financial resources, support capacity-building and technology transfer to help countries, in particular developing countries, to provide safe, clean, accessible and affordable drinking water and sanitation for all.

It Can Be Done has worked as a volunteer USA based humanitarian non-profit organization since 2006 to supply safe water access in Tanzania. Community Participation Projects are community owned and supported by sweat equity, local management & resources, and low fee water user dollars for sustainability.
